I have had the same problem. Fixed it once & it popped again. Tried a different fix & it has been good for a few months but I don’t know how I fixed it. Have ordered the clips. For me this is a safety issue but I guess Mazda would say you have door mirrors. This should be a safety recall as it is obviously a design fault & does have, as far as I’m concerned, a safety issue. How do others feel about this issue.
Oh yes, I agree 100%… the fact that it’s a factory fault on early cars, you’d expect a recall at least. But my dealership didn’t want to know unless I booked it in to be “checked” over… at a cost I bet.
I’ve been out today, first time since putting the clips in and raised the roof twice with no issues at all so the fix seems to work ok 
Hey folks, just thought to pop back after a month with an update… Since fitting those clips the panel hasn’t unclipped once! The fix works, so happy to get it fixed for less than £10!
