Hi everyone, this is my first post here so apologies if it’s in the wrong section or has been answered before.
I bought a Wind Restrictor from the USA and it requires some wiring work. Everything on the install has gone smoothly, however the in guide describe the ignition switch wire as “a thick wire, pink with silver lines running throughout”. the problem is that there is no such wire in my car on the main loom runningdown the drivers side sill. I can post up a picture for reference if required.
I have looked online for a wiring diagram to gram to no avail and have not yet had a response from the company I ordered it from. My guess is that the wire colour codes vary from country to country??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
With regards to the UK cars, information is available from the Mazda European portal. The paid for section has the information and to use this section you require to use Internet Explorer in compatability mode.
Cost is around 6 Euro an hour via paypal and you can attempt to logon here.

Thanks guys, ended up just going for it and luckily the second wire choosen supplied a steady 12v readoutafter ignition startup.
thabks again for the help and will refer back on future installs
Excuse my ignorance…what is a ‘wind restrictor’?
Its the brand name for a company that produces illuminated wind deflectors to replace OEM ones. its usually the plastic part that sits between the two headrests.
found this link on a US forum. Its massive and involves running a an .exe. The whole thing took about 30minutes to get it working and involved running a troubleshooter. Its the whole service manual. Unbelievably slow at least on my desktop. Run as administrator.
