  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __I have purchased a mx5 with a damaged steering rack I will be changing the rack with a used one will there be any issues regarding coding the new rack I also need to change the bonnet pedestrian lifters thanks in advance Carl

You won’t have any issues with swapping the rack, they are not coded in any way…however
Every car I have seen with a damaged rack also had a bent front sub frame and without changing you will struggle to get alignment right.
