My girlfriend thinks that when the mk5 is released, that it’ll come to be know as the 5-5. She wants it known, that she came up with this idea so if it takes off she can have the credit.
I for one, am not a believer but she asked for this post, so she got it.
Also she wants to coin the phrase, limi slip diff for an LSD.
What do we think eh?!
I like her thinking, but 55 already has a special significance to Mazda.
5 in Thai is “Ha”,. So Thai social media is full of 555!
“Mk4” is only a term used in the UK wrt the MX5.

That would annoy me as much as F1 people referring to qualifying as “qualie”! 
Anything’s better than MX5 NE. You make a great car and have used so much creative energy you can’t find a decent name for it?
What is wrong with NE, why is it any different to NA, B C or D. We have a decent name for it - it is an MX5.
So in the US the 5 is called a Miata, in Japan and Asia called Eunos, and UK/Europe called MX5. What is an ND called then? MX5 ND, ND Miata and ND Eunos?

The NA/NB/NC/ND etc is an internal Mazda designation that has come into common use among enthusiasts, dealers normally refer to them as MK1, MK2, MK2, MK4 etc…
If Mazda had followed Ford’s example with the GT40 we would have the ND54.
ND54 as in 54 inches floor to roof? Thought it was more like 48-49inches
