Mobile air con regassing (or whilst you wait)

Any recommendations for mobile air-con regassing who’d cover Clay Cross near Chesterfield? Mine is getting a bit weedy this year, it’s struggling to cool the whole world when the roof is down

Don’t mind doing it at a weekend and waiting about, but don’t really wanna leave the car with someone for hours when it’s my only transport.

You could invest in one of the DIY kits that are around and have a go yourself.

I bought a kit one around 12 years ago and have used it successfully on several of my cars including my MX5 NC. As long as you’re careful with the trigger units which tend to be less rugged on the DIY versions and can break if subjected to rough use, they’ll last well, as mine has.

I usually get around three recharges out of a cylinder depending how bad things are. My aircon on my MX5 was particularly weak when I bought it and recharging immediately brought it back to life.
