Moisture build up inside third brake light housing on NC3

  1. My model of MX-5 is: __NC3 2014
  2. I’m based near: __Warwick
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __moisture build up in third brake light

Hi all

Does anyone know how to remove the third brake light housing on my Mk3.75 2.0 PRHT and remove the moisture build up inside it? And is there a way of permanently fixing the problem from happening again in the future?

Many thanks

Russ

I understand that the official fix is to replace the whole light fitting. I’m in the process of getting mine replaced under warranty at the moment.

There may be a DIY fix that others have tried?

There’s also a (US) Mazda Service Bulletin covering the issue.

There is also a thread (over on the miata.net forum) discussing the problem.

Many thanks Phil, there seems to be a general issue with the foam gasket, so will take it off and make a replacement that is a bit more robust.

Cheers
