Joined by the queue of MX-5’s over the bridge from Silverstone Village. I have never witnessed a car held on the rev limiter for so long when not going anywhere.
Anyway, just replace cameras with snipers and it would soon stop!

Having a spicy exhaust is another
Having no baffles in the exhaust system is again different.
Holding the car on limiter with a spicy exhaust on purpose is not the same as enjoying a fruity exhaust system on your car while driving it… is it?
I’m with you on this Nick. It’s not difficult to consider how your driving and vehicle noise level might impact others. Snipers on rooftops would soon sort it out.

When the exhaust is the size of a badger set and it’s only purpose is to attempt to fool others into thinking your ■■■■■ is not small, then it is not fruity. No one is complaining about a “fruty” exhaust. What is however, totally antisocial and marks you out as a total knob head is pouring gallons of fuel into your fart can exhaust with your pop and bang map so that you can be heard for at least 5 minutes after you have driven by.

It is fundamentally the same issue - making so much noise that it pisses other people off , in then full knowledge that it will do so . Like lots of things ( 2.5 tonne giant SUVs, massive tattoos, most modern Lamborghinis public drunkenness and Turkey teeth) I imagined that common sense and good taste might stop the phenomenon , but nobody ever lost out by overestimating the British love of tat . It’s a rich seam to mine.

Googled both before hitting send, I get the picture budget teeth and some chap who appears on the front pages of the red tops from time to time. Disturbed by what I have learned I’m crawling back under my rock now.
I live about 400 yards from a 40mph road which is used by chavs for street racing in the early hours. The noise is appalling, and must be unbearable for those living closer. The police do nothing, as they’re in bed, and there are no speed cameras so the racers can drive as fast as they like. Occasionally one of them messes up and buries his car in a roundabout.
Every cloud.
