Hi all, I have a problem with what appears to be mould stains across the front 3 inches of my NC mohair roof. It’s above the metal front support cross bar that clips on to the top of the windscreen.
When I release the roof from screen, I can put my hand up above the bar under the mohair cover, and feel some material bonded to the underside of the roof material. The stains coming through the top of the roof appear to be only above this bonded material.
I have regularly kept to roof clean and have treated with Autoglym cleaner and sealer yearly, so am disappointed this is happening.
Has anyone had experiences of this?Should I remove the bonded material? Any help appreciated, thanks.
Thanks ChrisRs for your reply. I cant work out how to post a couple of pictures (feeling a bit stupid!) can anyone give me a quick answer please? Cheers.
Here are a couple of pictures showing the mould marks on the roof. I have tried cleaning with a soft nail brush and Autoglym mohair roof cleaner with no success. Thanks for any advice anyone can give.
Mmm What I meant was is the product always coloured IE is there a clear alternative ? My roof is fabric and black so I’m assuming the black Renovo is exactly what I should use ?
Autoglym fabric roof cleaner and reproofer is clear as I’ve used it on my mohair roof. If your roof is in bad condition then follow the cleaning instructions provided by ChrisR earlier in this post and use the Autoglym product instead.
