Multiple driver aids failed 2019 ND2

  1. My model of MX-5 is: 2.0 (184) ND2 GT Sport Nav Plus
  2. I’m based near: Bury St Edmunds
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: Driving AIDS failure

Hi all,

Multiple driver’s aids had failed in start-up two days ago and despite a couple of long runs and starting it yesterday and today, still remain.

I’ve lost;

  • i-stop

  • The ability to set a cruise control speed

  • Driver Attention Alert

  • Smart City Brake Support

  • Front Camera Sensor

No previous problems but only had the car 5 months.

Anyone ever have this issue? Any advice on how to solve it or what it could be? Disconnect the battery perhaps?

Many thanks!

Hi M,
I would take the negative lead off the battery for 10 minutes and then put it back on as my 1st action.
And or, do a reboot using this method? ‘Hold down Nav, Back arrow and Mute on the centre console panel for around 10 seconds until the screen goes blank and the MZD will reboot.’
Other than that a trip to the dealer and they will sort it for you.

Is the battery voltage good, with ignition off?

Also suggests to me maybe a dodgy battery. Have you kept it charged with a CTEK or similar?

Everything apart from i-stop uses the front camera behind the mirror is the windscreen clean around that, no chips or cracks obscuring the camera view?

Morning all; thanks for the advice - tried all those things and no change. Battery is good as 12.49 volts and doesn’t drop below 10 on starting so CCA also fine…

-ve Lead off and MZD reboot didn’t work

No windscreen damage around forward sensor…

Will be popping to Mazda dealer after school run!
