Erm, tbh, I love that song but I wouldn’t put Amy Lee in the same bracket…having said that, I do have tickets to a joint concert of Within Temptation & Evanescence
Here’s an amazing Epica track, featuring Floor Jansen;

Is it me or is there is a certain “type” here - ie Floor Jansen and Linda Carter? Not exactly the same, but…
If you like Pet Shop Boys I would also very highly recommend Luna Park, on the album Fundamental, if you haven’t already heard it, one of my all time favourites of theirs, very atmospheric track!
Thanks,
Will listen as soon as I have finished listening to Mels tracks above. I must say that I like the Purge - but I am sure I have heard that before - not sure where…
Haha, women with long, dark hair, you mean??
The Purge is their latest track and has proved very popular…and the video shows Sharon den Adel off at her most beautiful best
Who have a good pair of lungs!! exactly!!
And could kick anyone’s bahookie!
Totally different from that which has preceded it. Something calming and spiritual:-
“The Edge of the Sea” - Craig Armstrong and Calum Martin.
You’ve really gotten right into Craig Armstrong’s works, haven’t you? Am so chuffed!
Yep! Thanks for the intro Mel!
Yes, beautiful PSB song.
My favourite from Fundamental is actually (he he) Minimal.
Do you know their album Very? Dreaming of the Queen and The Theatre are pretty special.
I have a particular soft spot for the Bilingual album too, and the album Electric (with a Springsteen cover that just sounds like it was always a Pet Shop Boys song)… Behaviour… Hotspot… Yes… Release…
These guys love Pop, and they write such great lyrics and melodies.
Physical Graffiti, Led Zep on original vinyl
Evanescence - My Immortal - YouTube
thanks for posting the Evanescence track - obviously had to then listen to My Immortal and then look for tickets - next April…mmmmm
If you look up the ‘World’s Collide’ tour you’ll get Evanescence & Within Temptation. Should be good as both bands have lots of new songs coming out at the minute. I’ve got tickets for Glasgow but coincidentally- don’t ask why- I also have a ticket for the Leeds gig. If that’s of any use to you, I’m more than happy for you to have it as last time I checked, it was nearly sold out
Mel,
I would love to have the ticket off you. My daughter is just finishing a Masters in Chemistry in Leeds, but is starting a Chemistry/Engineering PhD in September (clever girl!!) and the arena is a 10 minute walk from where her flat is. I know she likes Evanescence too - I will send a PM and I will send you the money (I insist even if you may not have done) and I will see if I can get another ticket - is it on the floor or seated?
Thanks,
Ian
Funnily enough I’ve just been watching that after watching your previously posted Overkill and Songbird
