Hi Sue
Thanks for the thought - Unfortunately I am coming from the other direction - I’ll be coming down the M3 and then picking up the A303 just south of Basingstoke.
See you at Haynes.
Mike

Thanks to Mal and everyone at Haynes for making to day possible. It was lovely to catch up with acquaintances from the Solent, Western and Solent groups and make some new ones, two of whom with Mk4’s have yet to join the Club !
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick message to say a big thank to all who attended the drive to “Haynes Motor Museum” today.
A fantastic turn-out and a great drive to Three Legged Cross, to rendevous with Wessex Area at Hilliers Garden Centre. Although, we came across a road block just before Zig Zag Hill, caused by a Coach driver mis-judging the bend and grounding his coach full of American Tourists, on the near-side rear, completely blocking the road🙄
Needless to say we had to about turn and detour, sadly missing out Zig Zag Hill and breaking up our convoy of fives😟
However, we did all meet back up at our destination and on arrival at Haynes Motor Museum it was fabulous to see approx 60 MX-5’s parked up from Solent, Wessex, Cornish Five’s, Western, South West & South Wales Areas.
A big thank you to you all for coming out to join us all at Haynes to celebrate 35 years of the fantastic MX-5 and 30 Years of the MX5OC
Today was a great experience thanks @Malski21
Yes have to say it was good, apart from being diverted though Havant town center as the A27 was closed at Emsworth for bridge repairs, would have made it to Rownams by 09:30 if it wasn’t for that, still a lovely drive out around a 260 miles round trip to Haynes and back.
Hi 59Five,
I am glad you enjoyed the drive and visit, despite the A27 being closed for bridge repairs.
Great photo of the variety of cars in the Haynes Museum.
Best Regards
Mal
