MX-5 Drive your 5 Day

Hi Everyone,

As it is a double Anniversary Year - “30 Years of the Owners Club and 35 Years of the MX-5 Production,” the 15th September has been declared "Drive your 5 Day" so a visit to the Haynes Motor Museum, Sparkford has been arranged for Solent and neighbouring areas to attend.

Information on how to book your discounted tickets have been provided by Haynes Motor Museum, as follows;

To book your tickets we have detailed a link and your personal discount code below, please forward this email to each member of your group. Online bookings must only be made by individuals. As the Museum is a charity, we are able to claim gift aid, by booking online and selecting gift aid (if applicable) your admission will become an annual pass at no additional cost.

General terms and conditions of group bookings

This link and code will expire by 15th September 2024, if minimum numbers are not reached (15 people), you will incur the minimum fee outstanding, or tickets will not be valid. The outstanding fee will be invoiced and must be paid on the last working weekday prior to the date of your booking either by BACS payment or we can take card payments over the phone. Payments cannot be taken on the day of your booking.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable to another person.

Should a member of the group not be able to attend on the date, their ticket can still be redeemed which will activate the annual pass – please call reception on 01963 440804 on the day of your booking to redeem the annual pass.

Start Point: We will rendevous at Rownhams Services M27 Westbound in our usual meeting place, adjacent to the approach road to the car park entrance.

Rendevous Time: 09:00

Departure Time: 09:30 PROMPT!

Drive Time: 1 hour 30 mins approx

Arrival Time at Destination: 11:00 in time for coffee :grinning:

For info, our route will take us past Hilliers Garden Centre at Three Legged Cross, where we will drive in to hook up with Wessex Group, who will join us for the drive up to Shaftsbury and we will transit via the fabulous “Zig-Zag Hill” before heading into Sparkford and the Haynes Museum.

Thanks for the heads up love any excuse to got to Haynes International, hope North Thames members are included, will not be sure if I am coming from North Thames or Great Western until closer on the day so please do not wait for me, I will see you there one way or the other.

Have booked my ticket. Assuming you leave the services at 09.30 I’ll wait at the Weyhill Services on the A303, (which you may wish to consider as a comfort stop as much better than Sutton Scotney) and join you as you drive by…

Hi Everyone, please be advised that our route to Haynes has been tweaked slightly, so Wessex Group can hook up with us and we can all drive via the famous “Zig-Zag Hill” to Sparkford😃
