I agree.
In fact, I was thinkng similar ref ‘nothing better about the Winter than Summer’ the other week. I managed to find some:
- Not so many thick idiots chucking all sorts, including beer bottles, out of cars on lanes. Happens of course, but not as much as in the SUmmer when they’re ‘having a good time’
- People thankfully decide they’re not into music anymore when Winter rolls around
- No screaming kids, playing football in streets etc
- No real pollen to cascade over cars, and give hay fever
- Dog’s allowed on beaches (at least withing non-silly distances from me)
- Less people in general affecting my life in the Winter.
- Bird dung marring car’s paint much less an issue in the winter (Spring a nightmare for it)
After that…Summer wins everywhere
I have come up with a couple of benefits regarding winter v summer (not that they outweigh the drawbacks by any means).
- No flies or wasps, around people or splattered on cars.
- No nasty tar spots on bodywork (but lots of grit & salt).
That’s it I think.
Drawbacks of winter too long to list & would probably crash MX5 OC site.
love the grey and red
I thought ooh thats a different colour then double checked the reg on the pic below. Looks nice in the purple hue
They need to do a purple like that, would suit the ND well
No idea what those photo/camera settings were mind you, to get ND Meteor Grey displaying like that!
Yeah it does suit the car well, Mazda could be a little more adventurous with their colour choices.
I had an MG Midget that was a shade of pure back in the day
Just a bit! A wider, and bolder colour palette please Mazda…
How good would an ND look in factory yellow paint, for example?
Yeah that true, my second choice colour for an NC2 would be yellow, don’t see many about
It had been a bit dark so I had been messing on with the levels on my phone and as I tinkered I thought I like that colour so saved it… no special programs just IPhone
A sub zero overnight to Donegal. 300 miles to scrub in fresh new Kumho’s. Photo from atop Glenesh Pass.
took the car out of the winter box to fit her new shoes
so changed my mind gone for a new set up 15mm bolt on spacers all round 215 .45.17s tyre fitted with a 5 mm drop front end and 3 mm drop rear and now the trackings complete …
Bob on
Are you pleased with them?
yep but I should have gone to 225 not 205 are a little bit of a streach but the makers say they are ok so I sell the others then get some other tyres later See what happens so changed my mind …?
I thought they might have done something like this for the 35AE, instead of baby boomer maroon.
While we’re showing off new wheels. OZ Alleggeritas. 1.8kg lighter per corner than stock, and feel lovely on the road.
Looks great.
What are the wheel specs - width, offset etc?
They’re OZ Alleggeritas. 17x7 ET37. 14lbs a corner.
