I’m very sorry my Imgur hosted photos are no longer showing. There are far more I’ve posted in other forums which are all now gone for anyone in the UK; Imgur have decided they won’t comply with the Online Safety Act and have blocked access to anything hosted by them to anyone in the UK. Including the person who originally posted it, so I can’t see it myself. Have a slightly different angle to try to make up for it.

It’s a mild shame that the car is within 10% of the lower margin otherwise it would make a great submission for a calendar at some point.

How has it taken them so long, in the buying it/part exchanging procedure?
I find it’s done in a day usually, maybe two tops? When I got my ND I strolled into the dealership with no notice (I didn’t want to appear to keen) at about 11am ish, and was driving away by 3:30pm, part X involved, too?

Hi ND12,
The new car was a demonstration and I was told Mazda’s policy is that the dealership has to keep the demonstration car for 2 months. I didn’t want to argue because my November has been busy.
The stupid thing is I went with the salesman to the other dealership and noted 100 miles on the clock, drove it back, now 156 miles, and my local dealership is keeping it in a display area and it has not been driven since! I do have a personal number plate to register and my dash cameras needs installing on the new car!

Meet Penelope…
…the boss’s pretty new ride replacing her nightmare 2023 Honda Civic. She’s an ND3 softy, 1.5, colour is ‘Machine Grey’, and she has a ceramic coating, which will make my life easier.
As part of the terms of my continued employment it’ll be my role to keep her shiny and topped up. I’ve added a hard-wired dashcam (was easy to fit), rubber mats, rear storage shelf thingy, USB-C playlist stick, a magsafe wireless charging phone holder utilising the front cup-holder slot, and that ever-so-nice young man Paul Kent provisioned me with a smoked acrylic windbreak and a boot-light, both of which I would recommend to anyone. Also replaced the pathetic tungsten festoon in the dome light and the side repeaters for good measure. I’ll dig out some red led strip and add some footwell lighting at some point. Also on the cards is a replacement window controller. Other than that she’ll remain stock.

Yikes, had this for a week now. My first fun car and very happy with it.

My only complaint is the lack of Android Auto but planning to rectify that soon.

Exactly the same with me. I know the dealership well, so I simply drove there in my old NC, to ‘only’ look at a soul red ND.
The salesman gave me the keys, suggested I go for a drive, and come back when I was ready. That was around 11am.
Reluctantly(??), I asked for a p/x on mine, kept the ND keys, and drove away circa 3.30pm. A bit too quick really to give it more thought…
Sadly, as some of you will know, I developed rheumatoid arthritis after a blood clot when flying earlier this year, which meant having to sell the car a few months ago.

That explains a lot actually. Indirectly pretty much answers an over 7 year puzzle.
When I got mine, it was 10 or 11 days pre registered, and I drove it away that day. After what I thought was a while, I chased up my V5C which hadn’t arrived. I did this a few times, and got the obligatory gaslighting each time. Eventually the V5C arrived…but with a date on it (change of owner) 2 months or so after I bought it! lol
