Bit disconcerted to see that Dandy Cars in Gants Hill seem to exist no longer CAn anyone advise on where to get my Mk I serviced in the London area please?

Unable to access their web site so it looks as though they have folded. Great shame.
They have new owners at Dandy cars, but they claim to still be MX5 oriented. At least they did when I was last there about 8 weeks ago. The website has been down since the change of ownership, but the new owners said they were trying to get that back up and running. Dandy cars wasn’t the only business operating from that address, The Redbridge MOT centre has been trading there for many years (same people, just 2 business names). I would guess the MX5 side may die altogether if they get no MX5 customers. Most of the mechanics seemed familiar faces, so the staff on the spanners side doesn’t seem to have changed much. Try giving them a call on 020 8554 2002. Maybe you could report back, and let the rest of us know. They’re also still advertising in STHT at the moment.

Ah, another Dandycars refugee! I literally just came on here to post about this exact question. Will try EverythingMX5 in Romford as suggested here.
Dandycars is no more, the generic side of the business ‘Redbridge MOT Centre’ is still there under new ownership and sells random used cars.
Gary and Bill (former owners) did a great job at Dandy and will be sorely missed. Sadly the climate for MX5s wasn’t on their side, which isn’t their fault, so it’s now a generic garage.

Dandy cars still up and running.
The new owners are branching out a little. They’re tradeing under 3 names now, as there’s not enough MX5 work to keep paying the bills. But they are definitely still tradeing as MX5 specialists. I spent 10 minutes chatting to them yesterday. They’re trying to get the website back up and running, but are having problems.
They say the former owners have left them with a few problems. Apparently there was a large debt owed to the owners club here for advertising in STHT which they were unaware of when taking over the business. They’ve tried to address that with the club, but without success. The bill remains unpaid and advertising in STHT stopped. This is of course just one side of the story.
They do plan to continue with the MX5 business, and the Dandy Cars name is still on site along with 2 others.
I have been a customer of dandy cars in the past for repairs to my mk1 , Gary, Bill and Richard had tremendous mx5 experience , however with the change in management all three are gone . I have since used and can fully endorse RMS gallows corner Romford for an excellent service . They are Lotus specialists primarily but also cater for mx5 .

Just had a cam belt replaced and oil/filter change at Bulphan Service Station - my 2.5 running better than ever. Highly knowledgeable and great attention to detail. If you are in Essex and East London, it would be hard to do better. Located just behind the Plough Motel on the A128 between the Halfway House and Orsett Cock.
