MX5 2006 mkiii - rattle noise at 1200 rpm

  1. My model of MX-5 is: 2006 MK III (91000 miles)

  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: noise

A few days after an oil change I satrted noticing a rattling noise and it’s at its loudest around 1200 rpm. Can’t tell if it is the right side or the left. I have a recording but doesn’t allow me to attach it to the topic.

Any thoughts?

First thing is remove the serpentine belt and restart the engine for 20 seconds or so and see if noise disappears….
If it goes then it’s the belt/ pulleys to be changed….
