Hi taff and many thanks for the message the 1 was pasted into wrong place !! was at end instead of start !! now sorted cheers

Hey no problemThumbs up looks like a great idea and the very best of luck with the venture, what would be a typical cost of a 3 day hire for the Mk1 (with and without tent) collecting  and returning to Glasgow airport and clocking around 300 miles in June 2012? What is the insurance situation etc?

Hey looks like a great idea, go to scotland alot as we have friends in both Glasgow and Fort William. There is some great mx5 roads up there.

Good idea but make sure that you sort out some self drive insurance with a specialist insurer, normal car insurance provides no hire cover.

Hi Tom

Great idea, wish you all the very best and hopefully see you soon Waving

 Hi

What a great idea and the cost seems pretty reasonable to me.

When I was looking at MX5s before I purchased I looked all over to see if I could find one to hire and I couldn’t.

I guess the success of this venture will depend on advertising.  If you have not already done so a good website linked to a search engine, perhaps an advert in the MX5 OC magazine, they might run an article for free if you submitted one, and try the scotland tourist board as to me its a fairly novel attraction.

Best of luck

p.s If you are as attached to your cars as I am to mine how will you sleep at night when they are out on hire!!!

Big Smile hi dont know,i will cross that bridge when it happens.I will just have to hope that they will love them like i do !! They will have a bloody good walk round with the driver before and after the hire to make sure all is ok !!

Best off luck with your new adventure.

N.B. love the little trialer for the MK1 looks like something you would see behind a goldwing.

Great idea hiring out mx5s, especially with the summer around the corner, good luck James

Hi,  Great Idea {#emotions_dlg.thumb}. I have the weekend of the 3rd 4th & 5th of August booked to see the Tattoo in Edinburgh. I intend to hire a car for the saturday daytime to pop and see my daughter in Aberdeen. Can you PM me a price please.

Many Thanks.

Geoff.

Hi Tom

Did you have any luck with your venture?  When I clicked on the website, there were lots of links, but I couldn’t find the MX5s.

Cheers

Andrew

TJ is no longer running the business as he is busy doing Airport Transfers in a VW minibus.
