Can someone tell me about the MX5 Dakar?

Looking for a project, worth considering?
They were made at a time when the Mk1 particularly rotted, so probably not many left. They were all basically retrims done in the UK, so if the seats etc are done, you won’t get replacements from Mazda. In their day, they were a nice dealer special, but I wouldn’t value a project car as worth any more than any other Mk1 project car.
If you like the colour, there are probably more Eunos Roadster G-Limiteds about. The Dakar had that greyish ruched leather look interior. The G-Limited, ironically, was one of th JDM cars that came with EU style seats, only these were in blue Alcantera.

Still think it’s a great colour combination, blue with grey leather.

Nice. Is the colour Twilight Blue ?
Is the hood a dark blue, or is it black ?

It is Twilight Blue (12K) . The hood is a replacement dark blue mohair with glass, they were originally black vinyl with plastic window.
