MX5 MK1 Brake pad Fittings

  1. My model of MX-5 is: 1990 Eunos roadster__
  2. I’m based near SP3 5SW (Solent)_
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on _ whether I should get new brake pad fittings or reuse my old ones, I am just buying all-around new brake pads nothing special, EBC Ultimax brake pads on their site, and then I thought I should get Fittings (2x Release Spring Front, 2x Rear Fitting kits, 1x Fitting Kit front) From MX5 Parts, which added up to £41 with is more than the brake pads, so before I buy new fittings I wondered if I could just re-use the current ones, what is your guy’s thoughts about this?
If I missed any info or you need some let me know.

Re use the fittings you have if in a serviceable condition. I only fitted new to my NC brakes because they came in with the pad/disc kit.
Just don’t let them ping away and you lose some when removing.:+1:

i would for a couple of reasons:

  1. its really annoying to have to stop a job whilst waiting for parts - when i did my brakes some bits were missing and i had to order the front spring clips
  2. it actually makes the job quicker - just putting all new things on is quicker and less frustrating but comes at the expense of cost
  3. you can always return what you don’t use

just my 2 pennies … if i had infinite time i would clean up and re use etc
