I’m considering changing the position of the number plate. I was thinking of putting it on the light panel, doing away with the center badge, by way of a sticky back plate. I would like your opinions on this before I do something I may regret.

Personally, I think that the number plate on the nosecone (especially for the mk1) is a very natural place to put it. The cars styling nods towards the retro look and the plate placement also. It would take a tough MOT tester to fail it and if Plod thinks it’s illegal then so is every e-type I’ve ever seen! I wouldn’t put the plate anywhere else…
Looks good to me. Did you fill the badge holes or leave them, and do you think this is better than the offset bracket and square plate.
