Mx5 mk2.5 radio problem. Need help

I need help. I need a bluetooth radio for my phone in my mk2.5. Could anyone recommend anything?

I had to do the same a couple of years ago! From reading some topics on here I fitted a Kenwood DAB125. That has bluetooth and USB and has a short body so was fairly straightforward to fit. I think they are reduced at Halfords at the moment.

I also bought an aerial splitter to use the existing aerial for DAB as I didn’t want to use a separate one stuck on the windscreen. Reception isn’t always flawless but it does work.

I fitted a Blaupunt single din radio which gave me bluetooth streaming and a usb charging port. It looks period also.

Pop into halfwits look at the radios then but it cheaper online. Pleny to chose from and easy to fit.

I would make sure the one you get has apple airplay

Most importantly dont buy a cheap china man head unit, they are rubbish and often fail.
Stick with the big branded names

I need advice too, I have a recent radio to replace, will a Din2 radio fit the original hole in the dash (I can’t start a new Topic!)

Panasonic DA160 DAB, a double din unit , Mk2.5s are double din

I fitted this, simple job to do, but you will need a new radio harness that clips into the madza ones (MX5 Parts sell them)
