Mk3 Convertible Hood Side Seal, I have wear on mine from existing the car for many years in a narrow garage, shoulder rubs on the seal and will soon be worn through to a hole, anyone know what level of difficulty to expect in changing the seal. Seal is available from MX5 parts and link shows where it’s fitted.

Got the new seal fitted this morning, was straightforward enough to fit without much difficulty, anyone doing this job I recommend a second person just to hold the roof in different positions and just take note of how the seal is fitted as the back half interlocks slightly with the front half with frame, also removal of a 10mm nut to release a bracket out of the way just enough to get at 2 self tapping screws, there is also a cable tie but no need to cut this, use caution though with bracket loose when moving the roof up and down not to do any additional damage, I temporarily refitted it while fitting the new seal which just pushes into place, no need for any adhesive. Total time for me was 1 hour
