- My model of MX-5 is: 2.0 2013 Venture
- I’m based near: Kent
- I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: Dye Colour
Apologies, I am new to this forum hence the error in posting with no content.
Can anyone assist. I have the above and have included a picture of the seat bolster wear. I want to re-dye and have had success in the past with other vehicles. The issue I am having is has anyone done this before and could you provide the make / code of any dye you used previously that was a good match.
Thanks
Nick
Thanks have ordered it will post how well it works. Thanks Nick
Can’t vouch for the brown but their black is very good.
Does anyone know which shade or product would be the best for the seats in a 25th Anniversary Edition?
With Furniture Clinic, if you can supply a swatch of leather, they will mix to match. They only need a tiny piece. I took a bit from under the seat. Bear in mind, the colour underneath will be lighter, because the bit you see on top is typically darked due to grime and grease.
Its not a dye but a paint. You can’t redye coloured leather. So the colouring process involves essentially scrubbing the surface, including with solvents, so the pain adheres well. Then a clear sealer on top to stop the paint just coming off. The sealer is glossy, so you then put a satin sealer on top of the glossy sealer. But the satin sealer will wear off.
