 Can someone actually make sure the author gets her facts right this time around; I have the previous edition. It is easily the worst “marque history” book in my mini-MX5 library. I still crack up at the description of Johnnie McCormack’s hillclimber.[^o)]. 
Bit rough of Haynes not to discount the book, or give it away, to those happy enough to have their car photographed (and be inconvenienced)  for the benefit of the publisher. Not sure having the author’s signature is worth much.

It is not solely for the benefit of the publisher it is also a day out for the owners and entry at a discounted price to the museum.

Having a photo in a book is just an added bonus

We cannot get a free copy of the book as the author is only given about 6 copies herself.

It is meant to be a fun day out and a get together of friends old and new

No thats fine slight modifications are not a problem

The photos will not be close ups so small differences to standard specifications will not be noticable
