MX5 RF owners. Do you notice more "scuttle shake" less body rigidness with the roof open?

Shirely it is a matter of simple physics, no amount of underbody strengthening is going to make up for the loss of rigidity when the top is removed from any car, certainly noticeable on an NBFL but I am living the swinging sixties dream with the roof down at every opportunity and lovin’ it

I don’t need someone else to tell me if it’s different with the roof up, I can just put it up and feel the difference. I’m genuinely surprised that anyone with an RF can’t tell the difference between top up and top down:astonished_face: I’ll repeat myself and say there is nothing wrong roof down, but I feel it’s better top up.

There is nothing wrong with blouses for all genders and sizes - hopefully everything covered there.

You like what you like and that is fine. I genuinely can’t tell any difference between top up or top down but will drive top down wherever I can or am allowed to if the boss is in the car.

If people can tell the difference then that’s also fine, but perhaps a coupe is more suited to their driving style if they want to drive with the top up.

Just to reinforce my opinion on this, here is a video from Savagegeese they talk about the driving dynamics around the 7.30 minute mark.
