i’ve recently acquired a V spec 1.6 Eunos Mk1 and need some work doing to it (New springs, service, oil leak sorted). Can anyone recommend a specialist in the Surrey area (ideally around Woking,Guildford or Kingston)?m

C&C Sparkes Motor Engineering at Bisley has a good reputation

He advertises in Total MX5 magazine.

Tucked away on an industrial estate on a farm near Coldingley Prison

He has given me good advice in the future and I have heard good reports, but I have not had work done there.

I can echo Dipstick’s recommendation for Colin at Sparkes. 

He did the full service on my Mk3 when I bought it and really does know his stuff - at a reasonable price.

I will be going back.

Thanks Japster, I’ve arranged to meet up with Colin at Sparkes next week and, as you say, seems to know his stuff.

To follow up my previous post recomending C&C Sparkes at Bisley. My cambelt snapped on my NBFL a couple of weeks ago on Sunday. Colin opened his yard to let the recovery vehicle in. Worked on my car…new belt and all other belts, water pump, oil changes for engjne, gear box and differential. All done in 4 days. Total bill £712 (inc VAT), cheaper than a BMW service!!:blush::blush: Excellent service!!
