Was taking a drive today and the engine light came on.
I did a scan with my OBD scanner and got the error P2097 which is this:
Powertrain - Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System too Rich.
The car is only 2 years old and has done 14k miles. Am I best to just take it in?
Yes.That is what the warranty is for.

Earliest I could book it in for at the local mazda is Thursday.
Seeing as my car is fairly new with quite low milage, the chances of it being a faulty sensor more than a faulty car are quite low aren’t they?
I’m just wondering if I could drive it as it is my only means of transport!
Hi Ewar, any other codes/pending codes? Have you tried resetting it and giving it another go? Has it had a good run lately to warm it through and maybe clear anything on the O2 sensors?

Nope, it is literally that code on its own which makes me think its a faulty sensor.
I gave it a nice warm up and boot the afternoon after it happened. Still wary over whether to drive…
From experience I’d suspect a fault oxygen sensor. It’s a simple repair.
