MX5 Underbody Protection

Just had the MX5 return from Underbody Protection work by Rustec in Malmsbury.
I’ve been looking and considering having this done for a while , and was taken by the whole page ad in the latest Owners Club publication.

I opted for the full Dinitrol treatment , taking up the option of lifetime inspections and top ups if required.
The whole process was explained in detail at an initial underbody inspection at Rustec.
Lloyd explained the stages of the process, and took me into the garage to see a car in progress.
The full Dinitol treatment not only covers the bits you can see, but also the cavities you can’t see.

During the process ( which takes 4 days) Rustec sent me updates with images of the underbody at the various stages, a valuable history record for the car.

On collection, once again, the process was confirmed and they even washed and waxed the car ready for collection.

As members, we get a discount of 20% on the full treatment price , plus a free gift of Demon Tweaks Carplan Kit.

All in all, a great experience and reassurance that the MX5 will be around for many more years.

Mine was Lanoguarded about a year ago – seems to have done the trick, but the car does smell faintly of the farmyard when it’s up to temperature.

I totally agree. I had my mk2.5 Arctic done in April last year and posted this…
