Thought that may be the case…
By the way I like your drive and am looking at something similar myself - I presume it is pattern imprinted concrete? Do you have any idea how much per m sq it was?

It was already here when we bought the house. Good stuff though, very hard wearing and clean. Cheaper than block paving I think.
Thanks, I have heard its cheaper, but I do not want block paving as it can move and needs more ongoing maintenance, although it does drain better if on a flat surface… I have quite a large area to do as well, so I do not want to pay a huge amount, but I know it will not be cheap!!
Be careful going down the route of imprint concrete especially for a large area as you may need planning permission if it’s over a certain area size as its impervious.Permeable surfacing of front gardens: guidance - GOV.UK
Thanks for the info…
I wonder how many offers he gets for it ?
Rumour is he want £40k + for the plate
Better leave it to Barrie,Bettabuilder lol
I saw MX55 NOT yesterday. You need to know the car was “Snot Green” MX5 5NOT.
Sorry no photo as I was driving at 69MPH down the A1 at the time.
I saw that too at Elvington yesterday and had a little smile, especially with the colour being green. A little further down the line was MX5 5NOB. Some great MX related plates yesterday. Plates have been an interest of mine for many years and a few years back I managed to secure ALA573R which is about as close to my name as I can get. Its on my Mk2 MX5 and was part of the successful WR attempt yesterday.
Well done everybody and especially to the guy on the PA dressed in yellow. He did a great job in my opinion throughout the day and was quite easy to listen to on the radio.
I believe that realistically we smashed the record last time in 2019 but at least this time it’s correctly verified. I wonder if there will be another go and push towards 2000 cars?
I had MX58 ABY in front of me. MX5 8ABY

Ah that strikes a chord, mine is SN08 RFX, and my initials are RFS so it’s not too far off. It helped tip the balance when choosing between two almost identically low mileage immaculate Nisekos. No MX5 in the reg, alas.
It’s an age-related re-reg, and as far I know it had always been in Berkshire and Wiltshire (where I bought it), previously on a personal plate, and never near Aberdeen.
I followed you for a short while along the York-Hull road after leaving the WR attempt. I turned off @ Shiptonthorpe. I was in my Machine Grey RF
Yes, I remember being followed by another MX5 which turned off. If truth were told we actually got lost and probably should have taken the same turn from memory!!
Can anyone help? I’d like to buy a personalised plate and want to email DVLA, however when I finally find the correct page to click the “email” a pop up appears and wants me to link my gmail account to Windows Messenger, giving access to everything, not just to write the email! Am I better off just ringing DVLA (and going through the mandatory 300 year “on hold”)?
Thanks for any help,
Martin
That will be your PC trying to use a different e-mail program to the one you are using.
Just cut and paste this address into the ‘To-’ line in your e-mail
Thanks very much
Thoughts please! Was thinking for the little Eunos! Bit of originality. Could look smart on a square plate!
No worries if it’s purchased after this post. I’ll take commission later. Anyway need to wait for DVLA’s registration plate. You never know they might have run out of J’s and give me a dateless!. ‘I DIG JPN’. Was I really searching plates at 1.15am. Must of been on nights at the time!
