MX5 versus Mercedes SLK

Hi,

I had to sell my much-loved 1992 model MX5 last year and bought a 2004 Mercedes SLK as it was for sale at the exact same moment as my MX had to go.  Unfortunately, I am totally an MX5 girl and have been unable to love the Merc, even though it is undeniably a beautiful car.  I am now looking to either sell or part exchange the Merc and wonder if any members can recommend a local(ish) garage, please?  I live in South Cheshire and would appreciate any observations about which garages are honest and reliable and which I should, perhaps, avoid.

What’s your budget? Which model are you looking for? Specialist MX5 garages might come with a good reputation, but you can get good cars elsewhere.

Out of interest, what areas did the SLK fall down on and what areas was it better than the MX5.
