i like to have a good ride and ferret around when purchasing

I can understand why the Covid precautions but you’ll be wanting a test drive🤔 going on that I guess they won’t allow you to sit in it either?
Strange times I know and maybe not a good time to be messing with buying a car.
I’m looking at others but you know I just might hold tight unless something really really special comes along.
Rego has been changed over to a new Audi.
Impossible to see it’s limited MOT history as far as it goes.
Covid is a bit of an exception but I agree I would normally want to drive a car first. I did buy mine site unseen on a private sale tho, had it delivered from 200 miles away too. I had it from a forum and the seller was a well known member so I had some comfort in that, wouldn’t buy from a garage site unseen.
There is a company near me who sell exclusively this way, Henley cars or something. I was after my M140 this summer and they had a beauty for sale, I called only to be told they don’t do test drives, customers pay upfront and then arrange a time and date for a one hour slot so they can view it. Wtaf! If you don’t like it you can have a refund they said, I asked about charges and apparantly they keep £299 admin fees. Not a bad business that, advertise cars that are a bag of ■■■■ and lie that they are mint, then keep £299 when the buyer moans. Needless to say I went to a main dealer and test drove one and paid a bit more for the peace of mind.
I don’t think I’d be able to buy a car without driving it first, even if it looks amazing.
I saw a house to rent last year, looked great. Sent a relative round there with their phone doing a video call, and we both decided it was NOTHING like the photos suggested.
