Hello,
Does anyone know if there are any active club discount codes for mx5 parts.co.uk
Many Thanks
They don’t give discounts as such for being a club member, or any club/forum whatever you are a member of.
What they do offer from time to time are discounts on certain ranges or a discount on everything on their website. If you sign up with them you will receive any promotion offers via email as and when.
Also they usually have a discount at the spring and national rallies, place an order or purchase at the rally to get a discount.
Have you tried to Google Discount codes for MX5 Parts, I just had a quick look and it looks like they are offering lots of discounts, we always look at free discount vouchers on the web it’s surprising what you can find sometimes.
I’d be interested to see how many of those work, you’re right at first view there seem to be a few, one headline suggesting 76% off, you can understand why this might seem dubious and quite likely to be click bait.
Thanks for your help everybody, afraid your right IanH they are all bogus…mx5parts don’t seem to like discounts, unfortunately their postage costs are not the cheapest!!
Cheers Everyone and a
Happy New Year to All !!!
And a Happy New Year to you too!
However, relative to your post, I don’t think their postage charges are too high, compared to speed of delivery and good packing.
Couple of years back I paid £12 for a second hand main fuse from an after market supplier, having found out I could have bought a new one from MX5 Parts for £4 plus reasonable P & P charge - half what I paid. Only reason I bought it from the other supplier was MX5 parts were out of stock at the time, and I was without a car.
Never had cause to complain, they are usually my first choice, and I would recommend them to anyone.
I’ve used mx5parts for 10+ years & while not the cheapest, the service & delivery is excellent & any queries/returns are sorted very quickly.
Again Thanks everyone, will give mx5parts a try, as you all say, it is worth paying for excellent service.
Many Thanks,
Regards,
In honesty on genuine items Mx5 parts are very good usually about £10-15 lower than going to your local Mazda Franchise Dealer.
That said I have noticed that there is one item I have found at a substantial markup (for those interested I would direct your business towards your local Mazda dealer for the left hand windscreen cowling (Mx5 parts £104, Mazda Dealer £62)
I have never had a problem with MX5 parts for accessories and bling, always helpful and if you can tie in your purchases to one of the rallies, the discount and free postage deals are unbeatable.
We did find that prices of official Madza parts can sometimes be undercut by the dealer, repairing a front bumper was one example when the MX5parts price was higher than the dealership, availability was better at the dealer too.
In all honesty I would never deal with them ,unless it was an absolute must , their parts are over priced and as said their postage costs insane ,my personal ops only
I would agree OE parts in my experience are invariably cheaper at the Mazda dealer and indeed often open for a discount on some items, however if I want something non OE , or want a part tomorrow or the day after then MX5parts fulfils that need for me.
My local Mazda dealer gives me 10% off parts - and don’t have to pay P&P either, even if they have to be shipped to the dealer, so ideal for lower value items.
Most dealers give import owners grief.
Autolinkuk and MX5parts, delivered, tend to be similarly priced; some things are more expensive at Autolinkuk, and vice versa. Autolinkuk does a OC discount. Others that get overlooked are David Manners (terrible website) and Moss; Moss often have incredible clearance bargains.
Also, another source I have used recently for parts (not accessories) is Rock Auto; a US based parts place, but who have a website geared up for UK orders (ie. they correctly calculate shipping and prepay vat and duty). The US has a far bigger market for pattern and reconditioned parts for the MX5 Miata, where often there is no UK alternative. I recently sourced a factory reconditioned air flow meter through them, much cheaper than a new part from Mazda.
