That was my first full sized motorcycle after passing my bike test in 1996, I wanted a CBR600 but couldn’t afford one or the insurance so I went the classic route and bought the Z650.
Brilliant bike but I had the bright idea of stripping it down for a quick six month tidy up after a year. I got a bit carried away and it wasn’t finished until 2002!
