My Drivers seat is creaking. Sounds and feels like its coming from the inside of the frame rather than the runners. Its driving me absolutely mad and strange as it may sound is ruining the driving experience.
Therefore I’m thinking of replacing it so has anyone used the services of MX5 City where they replace your seats or failing that where can I get a replacement for a kendo drivers seat.
Don’t despair it could be something simple. I removed/replaced my Mk3 seats, one had a spring come adrift. I’ve read also someone had a creak on the seat, turned out it was the seatbelt stalk creaking.
Anyways they are easy to remove, 4 bolts and they are free, just remember to disconnect the battery as you need to uncouple the electrical connector under there which has the airbag connection too.
From there you could should be able to at least find what’s creaking and a remedy.
