Hopefully a couple of photos of my vice
Hey DaveB63,I spy with my little eye something beginning with C from Nottingham, and another thought, Carver Clamps from my fabing days, no pics of these.
Well spotted. I’m in the middle of restoring a 1970 mk1 chopper. Never had one as a kid,so bought this one a few years ago.Obviouslly I’ll never ride it
Following the recommendations on here for Mototile flooring and V-Tac 50W LED fittings I was inspired to tart up my garage. 25 lts of Dulux white and 1 week later this is the result:
Glad to be of service
How have you manage to de-clutter so well? If it doesn’t move for more that a week anything the wife finds that is not of any use to her ends up piled up in the garage
not to mention an Exocet a fridge, a freezer, a Mk1 Hardtop, the neighbours cat ( not I haven’t tried!!
)
I have a very cluttered shed!
Now, don’t get me started on the shed
got all my lighting sorted now ,
4x 10w LED’s over work bench and storage areas ,
then my 3 x panel lights ( 4’ x 1’ ) down the centre .
then on a seperate switch ,
i have 4 x 30w LED’s for when working on car or DIY.
after living with the yellow floor i decided it wasn’t for me .
i started looking at alternatives and decided on the floor tiles, so they were ordered tuesday , delivered thursday and fitted today (friday )
fitting is quite easy ,
heres a few pics ,
each tile is 500mm x 500mm (4 tiles / sq m )
my garage is 3.6m x 5.8m
the BLACK area is where the car sits
and for those saying i need to find another 5 to put in it , heres a little teaser ,
That is really excellent. I’ve managed to get some Fosroc FC140 two pack off a pal, its old and it’s ivory but it’s free so I’ll give it a go. I would prefer tiles though. What sort of costs are we talking here? Looks expensive.
hi dave , managed to get tiles in SALE , but limited colours ,
cost was £250 plus almost £50 delivery
Hi Geoff, you’ve not borrowed a 5 have you, to see what it would look like on your new floor? Which looks excellent by the way!
Barrie
barrie , all will be revealed
Very nice
Your latest MX5 looks great- enjoy and perfect timing with the weather being so good. Like the garage floor too.
Well done Geoff
Glad you’re back in a 5, as Andrew said, perfect timing, with restrictions easing somewhat, you’ll be able to use it! Look forward to seeing it in the flesh at some point. Loving the wheels, they look brand new! I do like a nice red too! the car as well
Barrie
Hello, I’ve been following your Garage Update thread with interest, and now want to lay some tiles. Can you tell me what you’ve used? They look a bit different from the usual ones. Thanks in advance.
