After not getting much use since I bought it last year, and after a full service, I managed to get a matching hardtop and a mint set of Rota’s. I also have a matt black MK1 hardtop I bought previously which whilst has a cool JDM look, I think the arctic hardtop makes more sense, it really pops as the paint work is still really good.
Jobs being done next month:
Some sill/arch restoration work (has rust in usual places, chassis rails will get looked at next year) * Meister R sportive coilovers (20mm drop) * SS dual exit exhaust (mx5 parts probably) * May get 20mm wheel spacers to give tiny bit more ‘stance’, nit sure yet * 'E-type" style sticky numberplate or maybe offset JDM style? * I might ditch the sliver wingmirror covers
Only thing I would change are the indicator and reflector lens for clear ones. A small change but they will look so much better particularly against that colour paintwork.
good idea, yeah I have a few smaller cosmetic things I’d like to do, I’ll ad those to the list. Others include stuff like a blue stitched headliner fabric for the hardtop, replace the orange dash illumination for brighter blue colour and also switch the sliver trim around the radio/shifter for black as silver looks quite dated to me.
