Here is a little rambling of how i came into my gorgeous 2017 Black Mazda MX-5. I was looking at buying a new car and my heart was set. I knew i wanted the MX-5 (ever since someone waved me across the road with their pop-up headlights when i was around 12 years old…i am 22 now XD). Initially i wanted the NA (of course, who wouldn’t?!) However, it was my father that convinced me otherwise and it was him who found the one i drive today. After lots of searching online the hope of finding a newish MX-5 that fit my budget was quickly vanishing. Until my father found one being sold from a salvage shop in Wales…my initial budget was around £3-4.5k (I know wishful thinking). This one in wales was sitting just under the £7k mark. This beautiful 2017 MX-5 with 16k miles…sat at a salvage shop? They told us it had been written off as a Cat S. The drivers side airbag, bonnet actuators and driver side seatbelt pre-tensioner all needed replacing. I bit the bullet. Initially the plan was to drive all the way to Wales and back (a 6-hour round trip, mind you XD). In the end we decided to have it delivered, it was a major risk and i was terrified even though the guy had sent plenty of videos of the car to put my mind at ease. So after spending £6.9k on the car and around £1.4k in repairs I have a gorgeous full functioning, low mileage MX-5. I drove her for the first time and I just fell in love (I had been driving a 2011 Mini Cooper for the past 5 years and was terrified at the thought of driving something different XD). The way she moves on the road is gorgeous and now i see why people are so enthused by this little car. Now we come to the name…why Karl? well after my sassy, moody and downright hilarious black cat!!
