Has anyone changed the sump gaskets on a 1.6 NA? Mines leaking from the front ‘U’ shaped seal. There doesn’t seem much clearance underneath. Is is a front subframe drop job, or can it be done with the engine & subframe in situ? I’m replacing the timing belt and crankshaft oil seal so I’d ideally like to sort the sump out at the same time.
Ok on the 1.8 there is no sump gasket as such and I would think its the same on the 1.6

I have seen some people on youtube take a sump off by dropping the front sub frame and bracing the engine but to me it looks easyer just to pull the engine out (honestly it’s not to bad to pull a motor out)
