NA Dashboard frame

A question for those who have removed the dash before.

How is the plastic dash attached to the underlying frame? Is it self tapper screws?

This part:

I think part of my dash has become detached from the frame (there is a few rattles, and a fair amount of movement) after 272,000 Kms.

Yeah, pretty much self tappers.

Yes, it was a missing screw, right by the bonnet release. I suppose over the last 26 years, using the bonnet release loosened the screw, and it fell out unnoticed.
