I’m struggling to find any info online regarding swapping the electronic sensor in the NB gearbox I am using for the mechanical one my car uses. Clearly the mecahnical conection is different, does it need some sort of adapter part?

And just to add - my car was an auto - so I think there are differenced between the cables for auto and manual cars
Andrew at Autolink in Dumfries engineered my Auto to Manual in my MK1 this year.
He’ll know. I doubt there’s anything 5 related worth knowing he does not know!
I think it’s a Mk1 box in mine mind.

Andrew was very helpful, I need a speedo drive rom a mk1 manual. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have any in stock and I can’t find anywhere else online to get one from either!
Do you know how many gear teeth you need / ratio of the diff it has to match?
I might have a 22 tooth one (for a 4.1 diff) hiding somewhere in the garage. Had a quick look and couldn’t see it but if it’s the one you need I’ll have a proper rummage.

That’s very kind - I did manage to find out which the seller had listed using a different (and incorrect!) name for it on eBay.
If anything falls through with that, i’ll let you know!
