Hi, new to MX5., but need to change the timing belt, all going well until trying to remove the crankshaft vibration damper/pulley. This seems to be 2 pulleys in one driving the alternator, water pump and PAS. Won’t come off possibly due to 18 years of corrosion. Could remove the pulley bolt and try again but don’t want to lose the timing. Any ideas please…
Remove the 21mm centre bolt and take it off as a complete assembly, it’ll be fine.

Yes, you can then separate them on the bench if you desire.
