NB Coupe Type A

The NB coupe does come up for sale from time to time I believe. I quite like this Type A version, but a bit too expensive for me.

Very pricey, rare indeed I would say but it’s looking in need (in my eyes) of a little clean up to command a high price.

Well “rare” but there is at least one other yellow coupe in the UK (the others being a technically rarer Type E version. And this has been for sale for at least a year.

Sounds like the seller might have paid over the odds for it. Its a really niche market, like the M2s. My M2-1002 was one of a 100 made, but really no interest in the UK, hence its ended up in Italy. This car might have gone to Miataland if it were for sale 2-3 years ago, but I suspect Andreas isn’t looking to add to the collection for the moment.

Curious about the large amounts of yellow floorpan over spray. Probably no more than a careless sill freshner. It looks really solid. 75k miles is not bad at all really. As in all these things, it’s hardly a classic and only worth what someone will pay bit it’d not be me. It would have to be sub 20K miles & factory fresh or close. I wish!:smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Very niche agreed. I have to say that I thought this one looked pretty solid from the photos. The 160 bhp engine should give plenty of beans and the body structure a bit more rigidity. A nice car for the collector.

I like the style….though they really shouldn’t have touched the headlights and tail lights, ruins the whole car.

Those are just stick-on trim pieces that were part of Mazda’s NB2 appearance pack not unique to the Coupe. Easy enough to remove :slightly_smiling_face:

Really? I’ve never seen them before. Either they weren’t available in the US or almost no one opted to get them…same with the flares for that matter.

Only 178 or something made for JDM market. There are little hand crafted quirks you’d be hard pressed to spot..like..(I think)…the doors are a smidge longer. I used to have photos os them being joggled up but I lost them way back. I believe they were just to expensive to make. I saw one in a Melbourne (OZ) dealer with it’s offside badly stoved in going cheapish many years back. Perfectly fixable to a coachbuilder if you has deep pockets. It was sold though.

There were some jolly nice modded ones.

What price a fantasy Vin Rouge factory supercharged?
