For anyone with cable, there’s a restoration of an NB ‘held together by rust’ on Car SOS, National Geographic, 8:00pm Thursday 13th March.
Yes, I know that Tim chap isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Do what I do: record it and fast forward his bits!

Hi TerryM1
I get Car SOS, National Geographic via Sky [non cable] so have set to record this episode as a fellow NB owner
I’ve never watched the programme so like you will record and fast forward to the interesting bits
Appreciate the ‘heads up’
Best to you and .‘The Precious’
I’ll put on a cheeky £1.00 with myself they will miss the chassis rails; “inside out” rot party trick! Plus battery box .Unless they are really bad and screaming out.
Watched this last night, was quite interesting. The missus and me both commented that they should of replaced the hood in doing such a complete restoration. Looked a bit worse for wear in the final shots. Still looked a bit blotchy.
Hi Terry et al
Just watched the episode…never seen Car SOS before so don’t know the format but similar to other TV like home and garden rescue and antiques rescue
Dunno why they didn’t mention the chassis rails or battery box and personally I’d have replaced the soft top …and why did it need a super charger ?
And wonder where the money comes from to do all the restoration work ??
Meanwhile…can that Mom [or anyone] adopt me and Bullit please and give me such a lovely surprise
I enjoyed watching the episode in terms of what I’ve personally achieved so far with Bullit in the absence of a fairy godmother
And no way am I envious of the lass working with horses
Would defo have spent the money on a new hood instead of a SC.
Doubt the lass was interested in another 50/60bhp anyhow.
Overall, I think they did an OK job for her really.
Hope she keeps it in better condition now.
I always wonder where the money comes from.chasing classic cars, bangers and cash and even wheeler dealers, car restoration done well is a very expensive undertaking.the car in this picture sold for £31k.
It comes from the same place as the cost of say ‘Coronation Street’, ‘Gladiators’ etc. The production costs of any show is off the scale. £70,000 on an hour show restoring a Mini is relatively cheap in TV world.
