I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: engine/electrical issues
Hi hoping for some advice, just got back off hols and started ( misty ) my mx5 , engine management light and traction contol light on and stay on once started, tried my obd2 reader had a fault on the maf sensor .Cleaned and reset all clear, but both lights are still on. Ran engine for a while and now wont start ,checked for damp on the floor all seems dry .Wondering if anyone has had similar issues

Those lights usually come on when the battery has been disconnected. Did you have to charge or jump start the engine when you came back from holiday.
Favourite guesses for for gremlins on Nc are water in the passenger footwell fuse box from leaking scuttle grommets. These problems can cause any number of weird issues as different circuits get shorted together. This may have happened when you tried the unsuccessful restart. Also check room fuse etc in under bonnet fuse box. Those lights usually come on if the battery has been disconnected or gone flat so double check battery connections.
