Finally got fed up with the pathetic light in the boot of the car.
If you put much stuff in the boot it blocks the light and makes it almost redundant.
Couple of LED strips later and the boot lights up properly.
For the sake of just £4 plus some twin core cable I had knocking around - much happier with the boot light now.
Nice one. Did the same to mine with a single strip, not only better than the standard light but probably the best boot light on any car I’ve ever had

On my MK3.5 I copied earlier models and fitted a change-over relay behind the boot panels and wired it in so the number plate lights come on when the boot is open. It doesn’t give the light that your mod does but it is a little improvement. Ironically where it has helped a number of times, it has shown me that I have left the boot lid closed but unlatched!

Did you feed them directly from the original boot light source ?

I fitted one in my boot and yes I took a feed off the original lights wires that way it goes off when you close the boot
Yes - fed from std boot light so they come on and go off just like the std light.
What, power feed did you use?
Spliced into the original boot light feed, as post 5.
Just bought mine and cost 10p more!
