…passed MOT test today, delighted!
Anyone else have a little worn patch as above.
My plan is to patch this…does anyone know if there are any wires/cables running along the floor in this area? Knowing my luck, I’ll most likely damage something - it would be nice to know if there’s anything to look out for.
Thanks
Depending how worn it is , I used Matt black spray paint to disguise the area on an old vehicle I owned.
that might just be the answer-thanks for reply.
excellent…thanks
Attempted to repair the carpet today- 2 wear points presumably corresponding to my heel position.
Applied Granville Black Silicon Sealant as patches. This has the advantage of remaining elastic, even when fully cured.
Followed up by spraying with a fine mist of black spray paint, to reduce the contrast between the black silicon patches and the surrounding, faded worn carpet.
I think it’s better…… certainly better than the holes, but obviously the patches aren’t exactly invisible! I will see how this handles continued pressure from my heel as I drive the car…… if this turns out to be a poor repair, the next step is to patch with a piece of carpet taken from below the seat or somewhere inconspicuous?
