NC dipped headlight clip

Hi all, I had a headlight bulb blow, whilst changing it, the retaining clip (bit like a clothes peg spring) pinged out. I’ve managed to retireive it a week later from the lower wheelarch and put it in a safe place.

its so safe that I can’t find it now! And I need one as the MOT is due in a month or so. Any ideas where I can locate one outside of the main dealers?

Is it for a h7 bulb?

Found these on Halfrauds quite a bit cheaper.

Many thanks For the replies. The actual clip is a mixture of the two pictured, but I will give them a try and let all know how I get on

Thinking about this and Halfrauds would be you best bet as they are changing bulbs all day long, they must have a stock of spare clips as their ‘bulb technicians’ will lose or break clips on a daily basis.

I did get a couple from Halfords. However, looks like billy badger beat me to it. The bit where the middle of the clips hinges has been replaced by a self tapper, and I can’t get access to get the clip under it. Looks like the bumper will have to come off to refit it.

For the moment, I Hope a blob of mastic will hold it in place to get through the MOT later this week

Hi , I bit the bullet, I took the bumper off and whipped the headlight out to address the clip issue. I managed to refit the new Halfords clip behind the self tapper and the bulb is secure now.
