NC footwell cargo net

Just purchased a replacement clip for the passenger side footwell cargo net. Has anyone fitted one of these before? How do you secure it in place? I received no instructions with the clip.

Please: what’s a footwell cargo net?

A small net fitted to the right side of the passenger footwell. I’m not sure if they are fitted to all MX5’s.
