Good Afternoon,
I have bought an NC/MK3 MX-5 with a 2.0 engine and a 5 speed box. I have bought it because 1) I disliked the BMW 645 we had 2) I wanted a fun car with a drop top 3) my other car is a wallowy Volvo 940 estate so the contrast is nice.
What is it like? Copper Red, 56 plate, PRHT, no untoward noises. All the right fluids in all the right places. Chrome accents removed and binned. Will iron out any kinks then possibly mod a bit.
Looking forward to contributing what I can. Not bad with a spanner.

Superb. I just didnāt click with thew big Bavarian slugā¦ Sounded good, went well, just left me cold.
Same, it felt āspecialā but was just a superb motorway cruiser. No fun to drive, other than straight line performance, but never inspired any confidence on B roads. The Golf R I had before the BMW was really fast on B roads, but was too fast for itās own good. No real feel, just point and squirt pace. The 5 is totally different to both, but is the first car Iāve ever owned that makes you want to just go for a drive. Wish Iād discovered it sooner (family life always made me lean to practicality, but wife has a Rav4, and kids have preferred that to any of my cars, so the 5 was a selfish purchase).
