Finally got round to looking why the rear demister has never worked and noticed this:
Not a lot of room to work back there and wondering what the best solution would be.
Soft top, hard top or removable top.
I’d cut both plugs off and either solder the wires together with heat shrink or if it’s a removable top fit spade or bullet connectors, nobody is ever going to see it.
I would cut the plug off and get it on a bench to see if I can salvage it.
Using a tiny screwdriver or a pin from the front you should be able to press down the locking tab of the brass connectors and slide them out backwards.
Then unpick them to remove the the old wire.
Strip the new wires back and crimp or solder the connectors back on then slot them back into the nylon plug. It will look like new. Use the photo to ensure you have them the right way around.
If it fails, then use the method described above which will work.
